GENERAL REVIEW

Terry came to R. L. Stevens with the looming threat of downsizing hanging over his shoulder.  The writing was on the wall in the company Terry worked.  Even if he wasn't affected in this downsizing, he felt sure this was no longer the best place to grow his career.  Terry had been considering a career change for over 8 months.  He spent the last 3 months actively searching, but with no success.

This is when Terry introduced his campaign to the RLS team.  he wanted to accomplish the following with this career move:

• Opportunity Career Growth

• Additional Responsibilities

• Increase Income

• Go back to a Product Design role

He knew just responding to advertised positions was not going to generate the offer he wanted.  That approach hadn't worked for him before coming to RLS, he had no reason to believe that approach would work after becoming an RLS client.  So, Terry used the RLS database to make contact with decision makers in target companies.  Working on his own, he wasn't able to obtain this information and it was one of the main reasons he selected RLS.  "I wanted to get the job others only dreamed of.  Everyone knows someone who has a great job.  You wonder to yourself, how did they get that?  I wanted to have that kind of job and that's exactly why I came to RLS."

Terry kept working his network and the success came to him.  Terry said, "This almost seems too easy.  I keep pinching myself.  The job is exactly what I wanted.  I have been looking to get back in product design (my true love) and wanted to gain more management experience.  This opportunity gives me both.  The icing on the cake is a $5000 signing bonus and a $15,000 increase in pay.  I feel like I have been given new life.  Without RLS I never would have landed this opportunity.  RLS - You are my Hero!"
